MAGISTRATE'S COURT
YESTERDAY’S CASES. Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., presided in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. For insobriety, Peter Singleton was fined 10s, Thomas Mein 10s, and John Robert Scott Colbertson 10s. Michael Martin was sent to Roto Roa Island for a year. J On a charge of the theft of a sex. tant (£ls), the property of Arthur McMillan, Edward Jack Cromer was remanded till to-morrow. Frank Regan was ordered to pay his wife, Marjorie Jean Regan, 30s a week and £2 2s solicitor’s fee. Robert Cousins Hanna, whose arrears amounted to £6, wae convicted, and in default of payment was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. George William Smith ; Herbert, whose arrears amounted to £lB 9s, was convicted for disobedience of a maintenance order, and in default of payment was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended for seven days. Thomas Holden was ordered to pay an additional 5s per week towards the support of his wife, Margaret Holden. Charles Ravenhood was adjudged the father of an unborn illegitimate child. Oh a charge of the theft of a rhg (£3), from the s.b. Tahiti, David Thompson Svas fined £5, in default one month’s imprisonment.'
