Cable Association (Received Mav 29, 10.5 p.m.) BRISBANE, May 29. The steamer Levnkn, from Sydney, reported that she struck a submerged mast half a mile off Solitary Island in over fifty feet of water. It is believed that it belongs to the Manurewa. The Levuka was net damaged. Mr Aird, assistant at South Head, whose son is'aboard the Manurewa, bar- offered a substantial sum towards coaling a vessel to search Middleton reef. It is understood that the Navv Department has been in communication with the New Zealand Government relative to a search. Now that wreckage is coming to light almost daily the Sydney agents are in an unfortunate position ns they find it difficult to make a positive identification, they not being familiar with the Manurewa. which traded so long between Auckland and San Francisco that details of her are forgotten by them.
