The Kaitoa left Motueka at • o'clock last night for Wellington with a load of apples for export. An endeavour will be made to dispatch the vessel this evening for Nelson. The Wingatui is to leave Auckland tomorfow, cargo-laden for Wellington and Lyttelton. The vessel is due at Wellington on Monday night or Tuesday morning. The Government steamer Tutanekai will sail from Wellington at 1 p.m today on her round trip to the northern lighthouses. The vessel will be absent from Wellintgon about five weeks.

The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Zealandic is due at Wellington tosiight from Portfdhalmers to complete Homeward loading. The vessel is to sail from here to-morrow week for London via Cape Horn. EASTERNER RETORTED. Daglety and, Co. have received a wireless message from the U.S. and A. Co. s steamer Easterner, which. leftxNew York on March 4th, stating that the vessel will arrive at Auckland to-night or to-morrow morning. The message adds that when the Easterner was two days steaming from Auckland she encountered bad weather, which necessitated the vessel being hove-to. The Easterner, which is under command of Captain O’Brien, haß case oil and general cargo to put out at Auckland, and from there she will proceed to Australia. RUAPEHU LEFT NEWPORT. A cable message received by the New Zealand Shipping,Company reports that their liner Buap/iu left 'Newport News on the 18th inst. for Southampton and London _in continuation of her voyage froju Wellington. REMUERA FOR HOME. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that their liner Remuera will sail from Wellington at noon to-morrow for Southampton and London via Panama Canal. RADIO FRolt TASMANIA. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received a wireless message from the steamer Tasmania, en route from Port Pirie, stating that the vessel will arrive in the stream at Wellington at 9 o’clock to-night. The Tasmania -will berth to-morrow morhing to commence loading for London. : BADEN POWELL RESUMES. Dalgety and Co. advise that the coastal steamer Baden Powell, which has been thoroughly overhauled at Lyttelton, is , being recommissioned, and will leave that' port to-morrow for Wellington. The vessel is to sail from Wellington at 5 p.m. on Monday for New Plymouth and Diygaville, taking general cargo. At Kaipara the Baden Powell will load timber for Lyttelton, and after delivering her cargo at the latter port will continue in the Wellington-Lyttelton service for some time. Captain McPherson has resumed command of the vessel. MARAMA ARRIVES TO-MORROW. -According to a radio message received by the Union Company from the R.M.S. Marama. en route from San Francisoo via ports, the vessel will arrive at Welling ton at noon to-morrow. The vessel is fixed to leave Wellington on Monday evening for Sydney-. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. The C. and D. Line’s next steamer to leaio New York for New Zealand will be the Port Augusta, which is to sail to-morrow for Auckland, "Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australian ports. PORT CHALMERS AT LONDON. The C. and D- Line have been advised by cable that the Port Chalmers arrived at London on Tuesday from Lyttelton, via New York and Boston. The vessel left Lyttelton on .February 16th. SWEDISH BOAT LYGNERN. The Sewdish steamer Lygnern, which arrived at Auckland on Tuesday, reached that port by a roundabout route. She started her voyage'from Sweden, and from there went to Denmark. Norway, Germany, and Italy, where she loaded cargo for Batavia, Australia, and New Zeeland. Her German cargo was discharged at Java. It consisted of. drugs, such as ether, chloroform, laudunum, etc., silks, sporting rifles, iron ware, and braes fanSy vases. She also took a quantity of cargo from Hamburg to Brisbane and Sydney, but it was cargo which had passed through Gennanyfrom neutral States, and was certified to that effebt by the British Consul , at Hamburg. She brought about 1000 tons of cargo for New Zealand, all of which will he landed at Auckland. The only cargo to be landed at Auckland from Hamburg is one case of gramaphone parts. The remainder of her cargo for New Zealand consists of about 600 tons of Swedish wood-pulp, Norwegian sardines, Swedish matches, separators, carbide, packing paper, granite, and general merchandise, also battels of orange lemon, and citron skins in brine from Messina, Italy, Before coming to Auckland she diedfrarged at Briebane and Sydney, and then Went to Newcastle for bunkers. The cargo tljo vessel has for New Zealand usually reaches Australia in smaller quantities, and is transhipped to its destination. As the steamer has a fair quantity on board, it was decided to send her to Auckland to discharge.
