INVITATION TO DUNEDIN. ; The chairman. (Mr T. SoolJay) stated at the meeting of the Otago Harbour Board that the Chamber of Commerce had made representations aa to the desirability of the British, Trade Exhibition. Ship visiting Dunedin. On the printed programme of her itinerary Dunedin was omitted. The vessel was of about 20,000 tons and 550 ft long, and Captain Thomson, who had gone into the matter, computed that her draught would bo 30ft, and that she could quite safely come up ix> Port Chalmers. It was suggested that as an inducement to her coming here no harbour dues should ibe oh&rged. Members of the board very cordially agreed with the suggestion, and it was decided to inform the Chamber of Commerce of the board's decision.
