SHIPBUILDING DISPUTE
NEGOTIATIONS BREAK DOWN. EMPLOYERS’ OFFER REJECTED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 19, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 17. The shipbuilding negotiations have definitely broken down, and the conference of delegates, who havo been sitting at the Ministry for several days, have dispersed and delegates are retnrning to their homes in tho provinces. Tho men’s leaders rejected a proposal for a ballot employers’ offer to reduce wages by 10s Gd weekly now. and a further 6s on tho twenty-ninth, braving the remaining 10s in abeyance
