The Canterbury Company’s steamer Gale is due at Wellington to-morrow from Dunedin, Oamaru., Timaru, and Lyttelton. The vessel will leave here on Monday for Wanganui, is due hack hero on Wednesday morning to load for Lyttelton, Timaru. Dunedin, and Bluff. TV. M. Bannatyne and Co. advise that the Waimea is due at Wellington on Wednesday from Picton. She will leave here on Wednesday evening fdr Nelson, Westport, and Greymouth. The Anchor Company’s steamer Kaitoa, due at Wellington to-day from Motueka. will have 4600 cases of apples for transhipment oversea. The" vessel will leave here this evening for Nelson, Motueka. and Napier to load more apples for. Wellington, arriving back here on Tuesday.

Levin and Co. advise that the Northern Company’s steamer Rarawa is to leave New Plymouth to-night for Onehunga, instead of last night. The Canterbury Company's steamer Calm is due at Wellington, on Wednesday from Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, and Lvttelton. The vessel will leave here on Wednesday for Wanganui. The Rakanoa is to leave Lyttelton today for Greymouth to load coal and timber for Wellington. The Kakapo is to leave Onehunga at neon to-day for Greymouth to load coal for Wellington. The Kahika is due at Wellington on Wednesday morning from Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. She will load here for New Plymouth, and proceeds from the Taranaki port to Nelgpn The Corinna left Wellington last evening, for Nelson and New Plymouth. The vessel is due hack here on Tuesifay to load for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Karori has been still further delayed at Greymouth owing to the bar being unworkable, hut she is expeoted to get away from there at 2 p.m. to-day for Wellington. Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Komata will leave Westport to-day for Wellington, bringing passengers and a cargo of coal. The vessel is an® here to-morrow, and will sail on Tuesday on the return trip. , The Kaituna is to leave Auckland at 6 o’clock this morning for Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from Adelaide, Melbourne, and ' Hobart. The vessel is due here on Monday evening, and will sail on Tuesday for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge, and also taking cargo from Wellington for Dunedin.

The new stamper Kylebeg is at present in dock at Port Chalmers. She will leave Dunedin on Tuesday 1 for Wanganui via ports.

Chas. McArthur and Co. advise that the steamer Opua is due at Wellington to-morrow from Lyttelton. She will leave here on Monday for Nydia Bay. The John is now not expected at, Wellington until Wednesday ‘from! Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton She will sail on Thursday for Wanganui, from which port the vessel is due back at Wellington next Saturday to load for southern ports. The Canadian Cruiser left Wellington last evening for Auckland to complete loading for New York, Boston, Halifax, and Montreal. The Otago Harbour Board is making preparations to drive six concrete piles 60ft in length at the end of the mole at Taiaroa Head, on which a light will be placed to indicate to shipping the danger point at the mole. It will-prob-ably prove a somewhat difficult’ operation, and the board’s engineer is at present engaged in working out. a scheme which, it is hoped, will prove a success. Dredge 222 will be employed in!the undertaking, and a derrick has been erected on the _ stern of the dredge with which to drivo the piles. Special moorings will have to ho laid for the dredge at the end of the mole before the work is commenced. It will be possible to cany out the operation only during very calm weather.

MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. The i Union Company have received cable advice that tpeir intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka left Sydney at 4 p.m. on Thursday with 288 passenger* for Wellington. The vessel is due here on Monday evening, and will Bail from Wellington next Thursday on the return trip. SHAW, SAVILL BOATS. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company announce the following movements of their steamers:— The Waimana left London on March 16th with passengers for Wellington, where she is due on April 24th. The Walwera left Lyttelton yesterday for Port Chalmers, Bluff and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on the 27th inst., and will sail from here on April Ist for Boston* New York and London via Panama.

The Kia Ora, delayed by had weather at Wanganui, will not reach Wellington until Tuesday morning to complete loading. The vessel is fixed to sail from Wellington on Saturday next for London via Cape Horn. The Pakeha is expected to leave Newcastle to-day for New Plymouth, Wanganui and Wellington to load for Home. The vessel is due at Wellington about April sth, and is to sail about six days later for London via Cape Horn. The Mahia, which left Cardiff on March 10th for Auckland, is due at her destination on April 17th. The Athenic, now loading at Gisborne, is to leave that port on Monday night for Wellington, where she is due on Wednesday at daybreak. Tho vessel is fixed to sail from Wellington at daybreak on the 29th inst. for Southampton and London via Panama.

The Tainui left Balboa on March 12th for New Zealand ports, en route from Southampton. She is expeoted to roach Wellington on April 2nd. Another, wireless message has been received from the Corinthic, en route from London and Southampton, stating that the vessel will arrive in the stream at Wellington to-morrow night.. The Corinthic will berth on Monday morning to disembark her passengers, and will sail from here on Tuesday evening for Bluff anil Lyttelton for Homeward loading. She is due back at Wellington on April sth to complete loading, and is fixed to sail from hero at daybreak on April 11th for Southampton and London via Panama

The Zealandic, due at Auckland on Wednesday from Liverpool will discharge at Auckland and Wellington. Subsequently she will load at Picton

and discharge and load at Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. The Zealandic is expected to arrive back at Wellington on April 20th to complete loading, and is to sail finally from here on Ajiril 26th for London yia Cape Horn. . The Raranga, at present on her .way in ballast from Lonflon to Wellington, is expected here on the 28th inst. She wilt load at Wellington, also at Napier, Russell and Auckland, sailing finally from Auckland on April 21st for London via Cape Horn.

The New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified by cable that the Rimutaka arrived at Panama on March 15th, en route from Wellington to London. MANUKAU BUOY LOST. The Marine ‘ Department have been advised by the Auckland Harbour Board that the black buoy marking Huia shoal, Mauukau harbour,, has disappeared- The buoy is to be replaced in about a week’s time. PESHAWUR FOR LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise, that the Peshawur is now fixed to sail yfrom Wellington at daybreak tomorrow for London via Panama and Newport News. THE PORT BOWEN. The C. and D. Line advise that the Port Bowen is due at Lyttelton on Monday from Dunedin to* continue Homeward loading. JOAN CRAIG ARRIVED. The intercolonial cargo steamer Joan Craig, which arrived in the stream at Wellington at 9.15 p.m. on Thursday from Newcastle berthed at the King's wharf at 10 a.m. yesterday to put out the Wellington portiop. of her hardwood cargo. The Joan Craig left Newcastle on the evening of the 10th inst., and had fine weather throughout the passage, which was without incident. The Joan Craig “brought 1200 tons of timber. An endeavour will be made to despatch the vessel on Monday for Lyttelton to complete discharge. The ship will subsequently go to Greymouth to load timber for Australia. OVERSEAS VESSELS.
