AFTER ELEVEN YEARS
MAN OF MANY NAMES. Philip McManus, who was last week remanded on a charge .of attempted theft from the person, was again before the Police Court, writes the “Times” Auckland correspondent. Ho was described on the charge sheet as Philip McManus, alias Philip McMasters, alias John Clark, alias John Moore, alias Frank Maher, alias Patrick Frank Hall, alias Peter Han. He was charged with, en February 21st, 1910, at Wellington, being a person committed for sentence to the Supreme Court on a charge of theft from the person of George Cooper,. he did abscond therefrom. The accused was remanded.
