SUNDAY TELEGRAMS
AFTERNOON SERVICE TO BE ABOLISHED. The Postmaster-General announces that the Sunday evening attendance from 5 to 5.30 p.m. for telegraph purposes at all offices, except at those places where morning newspapers are published, and at Blenheim, Nelson and Hamilton, is to he abolished. The service is unremunerative, and in view of the telephone facilities now prov ided between all important centres, is considered to be unnecessary.
