LATEST LONDON PRICES. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLED REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 29th instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: MEAT. Supplies continue plentiful. Trade slow and prices show weaker tendency, sales being made in some cases under prices quoted. Current quotations are:— New Zealand Mutton.—October 22nd : Lightweight 6Jd, heavyweight sid, ewes 4fd. October? 1 22nd: Lightweight 6ld, heavyweight s£d, ewes 4Jd. New Zealand Lamb.—October 22nd: Lightweight, Canterbury 9d, North Island Bfq, second-class quality BJd; heavyweight, second-class. quality Bd. South American Lamb. —October 29th: Lightweight, 7d. New Zealand Beef.—October 29th : Best quality ox, hinds 6d, fores 41d; old season’s, hinds s}d, fores 3i<f. October 22nd: Hinds, 6d, fores 4 id. Argentine Chilled Beef.—October 29th Hinds 7Jd, fores fid. October 22nd: Hinds 6Jd, fores 4fd. BUTTER. Market continues quiet with fair inquiry for best quality only. English; supplies, occuroe, sales averaging' 2s 4d per lb. ■ Irish—October 29th. salted, 185 s to 190 s per cwt (Is 7Jd to la BJd per lb); October 22nd, 180 s to 185 s per cw.t (Is 7jd to la 7Jd per lb).
