THE WAIOTAHI MINE
VOLUNTARY WINDING UP. AUCKLAND, July 29. Shareholders in the Waiotahi Goldmining Company passed a resolution for its voluntary winding-up. The company was formed on July 28th, 1871; with a nominal capital of -£IB,OOO, in 6000 «*;3 shares. The amount of capital actually paid up was .£16,000, divided into 240,000 shares of Is 6d each, paid up to Is -4d, and held by 500 to 600 shareholders, one of whom owns about onethird. The value of the gold and silver produced is *2680,190, out of which dividends totalling .£400,800 had been pajid, an average of .£66 16s per share on the original 6000. The bulk of the bullion has been won since 1904.
