A CIVIL ACTION
WARRANTY BREACH PLEA FAILS. Before Air E. Page, yesterday, Reynolds and Co., Ltd. (Air J. Scott), proceeded against F. James, garage proprietor, -Dannevirke (Air T. Alayer), for the sum of £52 10s 3d, the balance of an account of £l3O 0s sd, which, it was stated, was owing to the plaintiffs. The sum alleged to be outstanding was for motor-tyres supplied. The defence contended that the goods were worthless, and also that there had been a breach of warranty in the contract. The magistrate gave judgment for the full amount claimed, and costs as per scale.
