The death has occurred at Auckland of Mr J. T. Julian, the well-known head and founder of the building and contracting firm of that name. The deceased gentleman, who wa© in his 78th year, had been ailing for abont a fortnight but his death wan not expected by hie family. ’J he late Mr Julian was a native of Driffield, Yorkshire, where he was born in 1843, his father, the late Mr John Julian, 'havmcr been a builder before him with a good connection ?n his native town. The deceased gentleman leaves one eon (Mr T. G. Julian), whp is a member of the firm, and two daughters. Mr© B. Collins, of Wellington. and Mrs J. H. Hollingrake, of Auckland. At the annual meeting of the Eastern Suburbs League last night delegates were unanimous in their expressions of fchpnks for the excellent work accomplished by Mr A. C.
