UNITED STATES INCOME TAX. Austrniian, and N.Z Cable Association. (Received July 25, 8.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON, July 24. It is announced that the United States 1919 income tax amounted to 1,269,000,000 dollars, nearly 142,000,000 more than in 1918. There were «ixty-five persons reporting incomes of a million or mdre, but this was 151 less than, in 1916. The number of persons who filed returns as individuals was 5,332,760. The millionaire class only paid 99,000,000 dollars in ■,taxation.
