APPEAL ON BEHALF OF BIG EXHIBITION. . Reuter'* TflwtavLONDON, July 24. The Prince* of Wales is appealing on behalf of the proposed British Empire Exhibition to be held in London m 1923, regarding which it is stated that it was essentia] that at- least a halfmillion sterling should be promised to the guarantee fund in the next few weeks to enable a serums start to be made. 3Tic response to the appeal will determine whether or not the exhibition is to be held.
