A Press Association message reports the death of Mr Alexander Johnstone Wilson, founder of the 'Ojiyostors* Review,” and a well-known critio of Australian finances. Mr Wilson, who bad been proprietor and editor of the vestors’ Review” since 1892, had previously held important positions on tbe editorial staffs of the London - papem. The remains of the late Mr Leo Conway. a returned soldier, were interred at the Soldiers’ Cemetery. Karori. yesterday morning, with military honours. There was a large attendance at tbs funeral. Mr Eric Webb, formerly of Christ--church, and at present of Wellington, arrived in Auckland on Sotunday, and left, again for Fiji by the Tofua. Mi* Webb, who had a distinguished carceer at Canterbury College when little over twenty, was chosen by Sir Douplas Mawso i to accompany him on lue expedition to the Antarctic, and take charge of the magnetic survey of the Mawson Expedition. Upon arriving he was engaged .in seeing the scientific publication through the press, and on tbe completion. of this work enlisted for the war. Re. went with I.he pioneer corps of engineers under Professor Xfcavid,. of Sydney, to France, where he .rapidly rose to the rank of major, and received various decorations. Mr Webb *s in Fiji in connection with hydro power nrhemes, in which he has specialised.

The death has taken place at Havelock North of Mr Douglas Turton (brother of Air K H. Turton, solicitor. of Greytowri).
