REDUCTION IN WAGES.

' The Johannesburg Chamber of Mines has notified the South African Industrial Federation of its intention to reduce wages in the mince Is 6d per shift from August Ist. The chamber :s also willing to agree to a sliding scale for the future baaed on the cost of.living.
