CHILD’S BODY FOUND IN MT. EDEN GAOL. i Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Judy 18. The charred body of a newly-born male child was found in the furnace of a boiler in the laundry of the women’s division at tho Mt. Eden gaoL Tho mother is unknown. At the inquest a doctor said that owing to the condition of the body no definite opinion was possible as to whether the child had lived. Tho .whole of the body was badly burned arid charred, except a small partion of the neck, which showed no signs of strangulation by cord or fingers.
