Mr T. H. Jones, of Dannevirke, is to referee the Itugby match Wairarapa and Bush Unions v. the Springboks, to be played at Masterton to-morrow. According to report Wellington is not the only centre where referees get severely criticised by the crowds. A member of the local Association recently spent a week-end in the Main Trunk and passed the Saturday afternoon viewing a local match. After the game had been in progress for some tim© rough play became very evident, and tho local constable went on to the field and said to the referee: "Look here, if . you can’t control the game better than this I’ll stop the play arid order both teams oil the field.’’ The Otaki correspondent of the "New Zealand .Times’’ writes that the Magistrate has reserved his decision after the hearing of tho case of Alfred Gerald Anderson v. J, A: Ohlson, a claim for .1115 14s 4d for fodder said to have been supplied. •NIFF Of*. GARGLE or SWALLOW FLUENZOL
