LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS The weekly meeting of tlie management committee of the Wellington Rugby League was held last evening, Mr F. O. Evans presiding. The following member® were also present: Messrs C. Murphy, H. Croghen, Burke, C. Snow, H. Cranston, E. Tovey, W. Langridge and the secretarv (J. Murphy). The Hawke’s Bnv League wrote asking for a game in ’Wellington for their junior “reps.”—lt was decided ( to arrange to play the jjame at Petone. The City Council informed the\league that the charges for the use of tho reserves next year were to he substantially increased. Messrs F. C.- Evans and J. Murphy were appointed managers of the northern tours. The team which plays Auckland on July 30th and South Auckland, at Hamilton, on August 3rd,' leaves here on 28th inst. A trial’ game will bo played on Saturday, from which the final selection will be made. The ICain.poi Club, Christchurch, wrpte thanking the league for the manner in which their 3rd-fjrade team was entertained during their recent visit. . FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. Fixtures for Saturday are as follow: — ' Senior —Trial game, Newtown Park; 3 p.m., M. C. Snow. The following players will represent the teams:— A.—Jessop, Dobson, J. Shannaghan, Brau, Nicholls, Smith, Withey, Zimmerman, Williams, Scales, Le Warne, Pukatapu, Prob6tel; reserves, Jaoobson, Bezar, Porter, White, Anderson. B. —Balks, Tetley, K. Thompson. Fo,-, ley, Hamspn, Nunn, Kruze, W. Hedges, Harvey, Shanaghan, Haddock, J. Hedges,,Coulter; reserves, Baxter, Ridings, Duskie, Stevens, Gruar.
