The Railway Department notifies in our advertising columns that- the railway platform at Lambton will be cleared after the departure of each race "train. Passengers for the races should, therefore, travel by the first train leaving after they enter on the platform. A meeting of those interested in the To Horo Public Hall was held last week, when the balance-sheet revealed a very satisfactory state- of affairs. The debit was shown to be £245, an improvement of £lls 17s 6d on the last balance-sheet. The following committee was elected: Messrs T. H. Windley, H. Best, J. Guy, IV. H. Catley, C. Sutton (dll reelected), C. and IV. Eagle, also Messrs C. Davidson, C. Sawyer, V. Morgan and E. Evans, subject to their approval- Mr H. Best was unanimously re-elected chairman and secretary.
