A FAMOUS AIRMAN
PROPOSED MEMORIAL TO Mclntosh. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received May 11, 10.45 p.m.) PERTH, May 11. A scheme has been launched for a memorial to the aviator, lieutenant Mclntosh, costing £SOOO. Lieutenant Mclntosh and a passengen named Joy were killed through an aeroplane developing engine trouble and nose-diving half a mile to earth. A second passenger was seriously injured. Mclntosh, with Plarer, completed the famous flight from England last August, after an adventurous experience.
