The first wool ?alo at tlie minimum reserve fixed by the Commonwealth Government drew a record attendance of buyers. Keen interest was displayed, and competition was very animated at the prices, which are evidently in accord with “Bawra” ideas, which the auctioneers duly explained t-o the buyers. Of the 5300 bales offered, over 90 per cent, were sold. Yorkshire and the Continent were operating freely. Americans were quiet, as there was but little of the best wools they chiefly take offered. As compared with the closing rates at the March sales, prices for medium to good merinos and fine crossbreds were 10 per cent., and medium to coarse crossbreds 5 to 10 per cent, higher. Superior classes of wool were uncbang ed. Greasy sold up to 17jd per lb, and sfcoured to 22$d per lb. SYDNEY, May 10.
