KOI TO BRING STONE. Hansford and Mills, whose auxiliary scow Magic recently went ashore near Pencarroiv Head, have engaged the small steamer Koi to make a trip from Sandy Bay to Wellington about the end of this month with 100 tons of 6tone for building purposes. The Koi trades regularly in Golden. Bay. KAIKOURA LEFT PANAMA. Cable neiws has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Kaikoura arrived at Colon on the '6th ihst. from London, and left Panama on the same day for Auckland and Wellington. C. AND D. LINE. The C. and D. line advise that the Port Darwin is to leave Wellington at daybreak to-day for Wanganui roadstead and Napier for Homeward loading. The vessel will return to Wellington to complete her cargo. The Port Curtis is to leave Wellington on Tuesday for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia to put out the remainder of her cargo from New York. The Port Hacking is due at Wellington to-morrow from Wanganui roadstead to fill up, and is to sail next Monday for London via Panama.

ORARI LEFT NEWPORT NEWS. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received advice that the Orarf left Newport News on the sth inst. for Wellington, route from London.

THE PORT CAROLINE. The C. and D. Line Steamer Port Caroline moved from ' the- Railway wharf to Clyde quay at 10,15 o’clock yesterday moiraing. The vessel is to sail from Wellington on Friday for- Tokomaru Bay and Napier for Homeward loading, and will return to Wellington to ship meat. From Wellington the Port Caroline will go to Australia to fill up, en route to London.

THE RAMA. The Chatham Islands Fishing Company advise that the steamer Kama is due at Wellington to-morrow morning from Oamam and Timaru. The vessel is to leave Wellington on Friday with general cargo foi Timaru.

MOERAKI FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company's steamer Moeraki, which arrived in the atream at S .45 o'clock on Monday night from Hobart and Sydney, was granted pratique yesterday morning, and berthed at No. 1, north (outer tee), Queen's wharf, at 9.20 a.ui. yesterday. • The Moeraki left Sydney at 12.301 p.m. on Thursday, and experienced light to moderate northerly winds for the first two days, then strong south-westerly winds and rough sea to Farewell Spit. Fine weather then prevailed till arrival. The vessel brought for Wellington—3Bß tons of cargo, including transhipments ex Maikarra, Gracchus, Taiyuan, Seiltai Mara, and Orsova; also 175 cases, 16 three-quarter cases, and 90 half-cases oi fruit. REMUERA FOR HOME. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that their finer Remuera is due at- Wellington on the 18 th inst. from Auckland and Napier to complete Homeward loading. The vessel is fixed to sail from Wellington on the 24th inst. for Southampton and London, via Panama and ports. TO LOAD FOR NEW YORK. Dalgety and Co. advise that the steamer Canastota, at present in Australia, is to load at Wellington for New York about the end of this month. She will be followed by the steamer Donald McKay, 5980 tons, also now in Australia, which will load probably fn June at Napier, Lytteton, Timarui and Dunedin for New York. NIKALJ REAPPEARS. Ba.ncatyne and 00. advise that the Anohor Company's steamer Nikau, which has been laid up at Nelson for an overhaul, is due at Wellington next Friday to go on the Wellington patent slip to complete her overhaul. She is timed to sail from Wellington on Tuesday next in her usual running to Nelson. MANtTREWA BERTHS. At 11.45 o’clock yesterday morning the barque Manurewa was brought in from the stream ' t<j q, berth at the Railway wharf to discharge her cargo of timber from Grafton, N.S.W.. for Mr L. G. Porter. A report of the vessel’s voyage appeared in yesterday’s issue, and particulars are given in another column of the disappearance of a member of the crew during Monday night. Captain It. G.
