STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS. N.Z. HEADQUARTERS. The thirty-eighth annual statement of accounts of the Salvation Army, up to September 30th, 1920, relative to moneys by tbs New Zealand national headquarters, has been issued. The expenditure shown in general account, covering maintenance -of territorial headquarters, divisional and corps expense, grants to international headquarters, expenses of demonstrations, assistance and relief to officers and corps, and other outgoings relative to the operation of the army, totalled £9352 )3sThis was met by receipts, including grants and bequests, and a balance of £2452 from the capital account. The self-denial fund account shows receipts totalling £48,991 8s lOd, raised as follows Auckland, £10,803 10s lid; Central North, £17,814 Us lid; Christchurch, £7038 17s 7d; Dunedin, £7885 3s Id; Wellington, £5448 19s 4d. Out of this fund grants made included £11,500 to the central social fund, and £20,377 to tho international missionary fund. A statement of income and expenditure on account of military camps and war work appeal shows a balance at October Ist, 1919, £28,151; donations and contributions, £1775; sale of land, buildings, etc., at Feafeherston, £440. Total, £34,333. Against this were expenditures which left a balance' of £23,789. Tho expenditures included: —Rotorua institute buildings and additions, £1589; repatriation expenses and grants, £968; grant to comforts, eto., je5174; hospital comforts. Narrow Neck camp. £1818; Featherston Hospital comforts, £757.
