AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. LAST MONTH’S OPERATIONS. Business on 'Change has been much better during the past month, and in several instances shares have shown an improvement in price. Bank of New Zealand have sold up to £2 7s, the closing quotation being: seller 4fis 9d, buyer 46s fid. Union Banks have also improved, and there are buyers now at jKll iia, no sellers, quoting. There has been a very fair demand for insurance stocks during the month, particularly New Zealand and South British. Auckland Gas have also improved, the fully paid shares selling as high aa 24a 3d. Wilson's Cements fell to 14a early in the mouth, but have improved again, and are now in demand at 14e lOd, sellers asking 15s 3d. There has within the past few days been a notable improvement in the AJ per cent, free of income tax war loans, both bonds and inscribed stock, for all of, which there are buyers at £BO, no sellers quoting.
