Capt. F. C. Bundy, M.M., son of Mr. F. C, Bundy, J.P. of 32 Harrow Road, Starimore, is one of the many Australians who did more than their country asked of them. When the call to arms came he volunteered, for active service, but was rejected as medically'unfit. During 1914 he enlisted 3 times, and on each occasion was turned down. . Most men would have considered that they had done their bit at that. But not so with him. He proceeded to India, at\d there succeeded in being accepted on September-6th, 19.15, He quickly rose to the rank of iri,,tile Machine gun section of the armoured car detachment, and went to Mesopotamia, where he soon won distinction. He took part in the advance on Bagdad, and, outside the Wireless Squadron, is said to be the only. Australian at the final capture of the ancient-city. During the fighting that preceded the Turkish retirement'from the Hai River, a number of armoured cars 'Were knocked out, and it ultimately fell to Sergeant Bundy's lot to lead a detachment through the Turkish lines. When he returned to Australia. Captain Bundy’s health was a source of anxiety to him. but he is now feeling quite his old self, and tells in the following letter how he got well again:— Mr. G. W. HEAN, ' Club House Hotel, Blayney, Chemist. v .Sept. 23rd, 1920. Dear Sir.— ... . - It affords me pleasure to record my high appreciation of Hcan’s Tonic Nerve Nuts as. a health restorative.' When 1 returned to Australia 1 was very far from well H having had the-bad luck to .contract malaria, and to get run-down generallyi After 1 had been back a couple of months .1 was advised to give- Hean’s-Tonic Nerve Nuts a trial by a friend who had had his health restored by them. Their good effects were soon felt by me, and after taking a few boxes of them 1 felt in really good fettle again. Mean- . while I strongly recommend them to anyone whose health is impaired as a result of malaria or Other debilitating illness. I remain, yours faithfully, F. C. BUNDY.
