WEATHER CONDITIONS
HAIL FALLS AT BLUFF. The coldest place in the Dominion yesterday, as far as the four main centres are concerned was, Dunedin, Wellington, with 53 degrees, coming second. The 9ky in most parts was cloudy jot*' overcast, ! while ram fell at Cape Foulwind, Auckland, and at the Nuggets. Squally conditions obtained at Port Chalmers, while hail fell at Bluff. The was moderate to smooth on Hie east coast of each island and rough to heavy on the west coast. The warmest part of New Zealand, with tfie exoeptiod' of the extreme north, was Russell, while Wanganui was a close second. Then came New Plymouth and Kaikoiura with 59 degrees, and Napier and Auckland with 58. A fresh breeze was in evidence at Wellington and in the South Island, and a light breeze in most portions of the North Island.
