At the meeting of the Rugby Referees’ Association last night Mr mw Hylton was nominated as a member. • The president (Mr R. T. Bailey) extended a hearty welcome to Mr Hylton, stating that it was 20 years ago that Mr Hylton first came up the YJM.C.A. stairs to attend a meeting of the association - and it was 14 years ago that he had left Wellington for Marlborough to be secretary to the Marlborough Education Board. He had now returned to Wellington, and learning that referees were wanted, had offered his services to the association. (Applan*se.) Mr H. Rolls, of Carterton, has been appointed clerk to the Featherst<sn a Gi)unt l y Council.
