, NEW ZEALAND CONTROL MEETS. A meeting of the management commit- ' tee of the New Zealand. Rugby Union 1 was held yesterday. Mr G. W. Slade {presided, and there were present also ’ Messrs G. Howe, A. C. Kitto, R. T. ; Bailey, H. Baton, and S. S- Dean., The chairman reported that on notuung in the newspapers that E. E. Booth had been appointed coach at £B a week by the Southland Union he had written to Southland pointing out that this was a distinct breach of the rules. The matter of the altered rules was mentioned, and it waS-resolved that the rules as altered by *rhe International Board be played this season, and that the .various unions and the New Zealand Referees’ Association be notified to that effect. SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR COMING MATCHES. THE ITINERARY DRAWN JIP. Last evening the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union approved the following itinerary for. the coming tour by the South African footballers ; July 6th —Wairarapa and Bnsh Districts. July 9th —Wellington, at Wellington. July 13th —West Coast, at Gxeymouth. July 16th—Otago, at Dunedin July 20th—Southland, at Invercargill. July 23rd—First Test, at Dunedin. July 27th —Canterbury, at Christchurch. July 30 th —South Island, at Christchurch. August 3rd —Marlborough, Nelson and Golden Bay, at Nelson. August 6th—Taranaki, at New Plymouth. August 10th —Wanganui, at Wanganui. August 13th—Auckland, North Aucfc-v land and South Auckland, at Auckland. August 17th—Native Team, at Rotorua. August 20th —Second Test, at Auckland. August 24th —Poverty Bay and Hawke’s Bay, at Napioi. August 27th—Third Test, at Wellington. Angnst Slst —Manawattt and Horowhenua, at Palmerstop North.
