ALARM OF FIRE
BLAZE AT PALMERSTON NORTH. (Bv Telegraph—Special to “Times.”) PALMERSTON N„ April 21. A fire occurred in HaHensfoin Bros.’ building in the Square to-night and raged for half an hour, when the brigade got it under. In the building are.also situated tho Piccadilly tea-rooms, upstairs. ; The stocks will bo consideraby damaged by fire and water." The proprietor of the tearooms, Mr J. W. Heard, with his wife and son, who lived on the premises, had a somewhat narrow OToape, 'being compelled to jump out of the windows to safety. Later information leads to the belief that the fire originated in the upstairs portion of the premises.
