A WELFARE MOVEMENT. FBjU FRSBB «»«nrTATJON FOXTON, April 21. A conference of local body delegates, convened by the Harbour Board, was held at Foxton yesterday to discuss matters to promote_ the welfare of the port. It was decided to co-operate with the hoard, and it was stated that a company had been assured of the purchase of one or more vessels for the Wellington-Foxton and southern ports trades. A dredge had been constructed, and was ready for work ponding the consent of the Marine Department.
