Holland selected Straffon, but as the latter oould not arrange leave, th& req-ueet oould not be acceded to. P. Charles, C. Pearce, V. David, ana ; Aubrey Cann are anxious to box before . any aseociation, and will be matched as soon as suitable opponents can be found ’ for* them. 5 Hargreave is said to be developing superior speed, which, with his weight (fifteen stone) and enormous strength, eboud place him in the front rank of the heavy-weights.
