GOOD TEMPLARS
STAR OF WELLINGTON LODGE, No. 12. The usual weekly meeting of the above lodge was held last Thursday evening. There was a large attendance, by invitation, of members of the Pioneer Lodge, No. 11, who were officially welcomed and Bro. Warren, Chief Templar of Pioneer Lodge* requested to take the chair. A hearty welcome was extended to several friends from H.M.S. Chatham, who honoured the lodge with their presence. Bro. Petherick moved that delegates to Grand Lodge, who hold their meeting in Christchurch on March 29th and 30tli, be asked to carry the greetings of the Star of Wellington Lodge to other lodges they intend visiting while dn the south. The motion was seconded and carried.
An excellent musical programme was arranged, many brothers and eisters and friends from the Chatham contributing. Supper was handed round, and votes of thanks to those who contribnted to the programme and provided the 6Upper were passed.
The lodge closed at 9.30 p.m. to allow the officers of Grand Lodge to hold a session to confer degree for which two member® of the Star of Wellington Lodge were applicants.
