BOYES RELIEF FUND
EFFORTS AT HUTT. A benefit picture entertainment in aid of tho wife and family of the late Mr William Henry Boyes took place at tlic King George Theatre, Hutt, and there was a good attendance of local sympathisers. Tlie amount realised totalled a little over dESO, and this -will be handed over to the Mayof of Lower Hutt for the Boyes relief fund. TRIBUTE FROM H.A.C.B.S. At the quarterly meeting of the Hutt branch of the H.A.C.8.5., special tributes were paid to the late Mr William Henry Boyes, who heroically lost his life in attempting to rescue a child, and th© usual mark of respect was paid to the deceased gentleman. A sum of a guinea was donated to the relief fund. DEMONSTRATION AT DAY'S BAY. Next .Sunday, weather permitting, the members of the Lyall Bay Life Saving Club will give a public demonstration at Day’s Bay, and a collection will bo haken in aid of the Boyes relief fund.
