The committee of the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club tendered, a complimentary smoke “social" to the owners and crew of the yacht Atlanta* which won the Mills Cup. There was a large attendance of officers and members. Mr A. J. Ibbotson was in the chair, and after his opening address the toast of “The King’’ was honoured. Mr j. Paterson (president) proposed the toast of "Our Guests.” He congratulated the skipper and his crew on sailing such a splendid race and winning the finest trophy for yachting in Wellington. The evening’s erfjoynient was greatly enhanced by musical -items, contributed by Messrs C. Hill, Cl Adams, Curly, J. Paterson, Johnstone, and M. ttoweJA,
