PRICE CUTTING
ACTION BY LANCASHIRE COTTON MANUFACTURERS. Australian and V 7 March 16. Leading Lancashire cotton manufacturers are drastically cutting prices in piece goods, in some instances 50 and 75 per cent, for ready cash, in order to clear stocks. London drapery firms are of th* opinion that the' reductions axe only temporary. If the present level of wages is maintained, priceawiU harden when the export trade revives.
