The City Council, last night passed the following resolution dealing with taxi licenses: —“That in future no additional licenses he granted, for taxicabs unless the vehicle is equipped with a taxi-meter of a type to be approved by the Chief Traffic Inspector, and that owners of taxi-cabs at present licensed be required' to provide approved taximeters within a period of two years from date. This regulation not to apply to care hired from garages, and which do not ply for hire on stands in the city.”
