MO AN A GRANTED PRATIQUE. The intercolonial passenger steamtf Moan a, which arrived in the stream, at Wellington on Wednesday afternoon from Sydney, after being detained in quarantine owing to a suspected case of smallpox, was granted pratique vesterdav morning as the patient was found to' be suffering from a non-iniectious complaint. The v esse I was therefore allowed to berth and she came alongride the outer tee of Queen’6 wharf at 10 a.m. The waterside workers refused to discharge the Moana yesterday until their union’s doctor had certified that the patient was not affected with smallpox. Work, it is understood, will bo proceeded with this morning.
