RIFLE SHOOTING OLD NAVALS CLUB. The members of the Old Navals Defence Rifle Club fired their third match of - their second series at Tren .ham on Satur- I day for trophies kindly donated by Colonel E. C. Cooper, Captains 1.. D. Bell and A. V. H. .Munro, and Messrs E. T. Taylor and P. Lain berg. The conditions were ten shots and sighter at each 300 and 600 yards. On account of rain several members abandoned their shoot at the latter range. The scores were a 6 fol. lo w:— «*■

Did not shoot, 600 yards. This series will bo continued next Saturday, the ranges being 300 and 500 yards WELLINGTON SUBURBS CLUB. The Suburbs Club continued their shooting at Trentham on Saturday. The conditions at the 'Start were very fair for shooting, but about half-way through a heavy gale set in with a great deal .of rain and several members were unable to find the target. The best score ofi the gun was made by C. Milroy," 54, closely followed by J. J>. Turner, 53, these two competitors firing in heavy rain. T. Cejplin (59) was top for the day, and Cadet Jones second. Members of the Petone Rifle Club eomj peted at Trentham on Saturday in the 2 final stage of the fourth competition (se'co oud series), the ranges chosen being 300 and 600 yards. Favour went to those '? who shot first at 300 yards, as the weart ther became inclement and the light was decidedly poor nearing the conclul*" sion of the shoot.
