Gooding and ‘Edwards met Moor© and Bills, and secured a win, 22 —18. The latter pair opened with three, but on the seventh head their opponents scored five, and the total was *10 —4, in favour of the latter. Gooding and Edwards continued to play consistently, but two fours were recorded against them, and 17 —17 was heralded. They, 'however, secured a five on the twentieth head. The game, A. Smith and Petrie v. Moore and Bills, proved interesting, despite the fact that the; former pair won by 28—18. Bills and Moore opened with four on the first head, then a two and a one, but for the next four heads failed to score, and the game was 10—7 against them. They evened up, however., and on the sixteenth head were only one behind, 19 —18. Their opponents tfhen scored no less than nine on the next three heads, and secured a lead that was not overtaken. V
