PETROLEUM MARKETS
GERMAN OIL COMPANIES AMALGAMATE. • Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received January • 30, 5.5 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, January 29. It is reported that two leading German oil companies are arranging an amalgamation, including a large number of brown coal companies, which produce oil with the object of making Germany independent of the foreign petroleum markets.
