The United States has raised the question whether Yap Island, through which the Now GumeaShugkii cable and the San FramcisoQ-CfeJebes cable pass, has been handed over to Japan os mandatory territory. Japan claims that it has, but the United States asks that Yap shall be imteznadaonalis. ed.
