NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL
MOTOR TRADERS’ “PROFOUND REGRET.” . At- a well-attended -meeting of the Wellington Motor Traders’ Association held last evening, presided over by Mr W. Stuart Wilson, the following resolution was unanimously adopted and was directed to be forwarded to the Prime Minister. “That this meeting of the Wellington Motor Traders’ Association expressed its profound regret at the failure of the Government to adopt a definite scheme or proposal for the erection of a national memorial to be erected in the capital city which will stand as a permanent record of the Dominion’s recognition' and acknowledgment of the immortal deeds of our fallen .soldiers, and this meeting respectfully impresses upon the Prime Minister the need for an immediate definite decision as to the form such nlemoral is to take.”
