For some time now (says the "Bluff Press”) rumours have been busy that tho branches o? i’lxo Union Stoaihiahip and New Zealand Shipping Company in Bluff wore to be brought uiulor one managership, and as a result of the recent visit of the general manager of the Union Steamship Company to-Southland last week, it is understood that the branches of the two companies at -Invercargill and Bluff- will be combined under the managership of Mr L. '»■ Spehcecr, hitherto branch manager of tho Union Steantship Company and well and popularly known in Bluff. It is probable there will ho some redistribution of the staffs of the two companies.
