CRUELTY TO A RACEHORSE
FINED £lO. PITO PRESS ASSOCIATION. ATj'CKIiAND. October 11th. The racehorse John Bunny, and William. H. Windsor, owner and trainer, were arrested after training work at Ellerslie, and Windsor was charged with having worked tho horse while it was Buffering from a sore back. In court, Windsor pleaded guilty, and his counsel said the sore developed After racing at Avondalo. and the horeo was entered for a coming steeplechase. Windsor, who was a poor, man, could not afford to let the horse go out of form. He only galloped the horse for two or three minutes each morning. Windsor was fined £lO and costs.
