AIR LINERS
MAMMOTH ZEPPELINS. BUILT FOR TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHTS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received October 10th, 5.5 p.'ra.) LONDON, October 9th. •Commercial Zeppelins are to bo ready for a flight across the Atlantic early in the Now Year. They are describe/! as “Air Liners”, capable of carrying five hundred persons. The initial fares it is expected, will range from £IOO to £l5O, but later, it is expected, they will bo lowered to £6O. The Zeppelin Company is of the opinion that a big air liilor, with reasonable patronage fare, should not much exceed the firsfc-cltss steamship rate. Furthermore, the flight from London to New York should average forty-eight hours.
