BAY OF PLENTY SEAT
CHOOSING THE LIBERAL CANDL DATE.
Respecting the Bay of Plenty eeat in Parliament, rendered vacant by the death of the Hon. W. D. S. Mao Donald, Mr T. M. Wilford, the new Leader of the Liberal party, utated to a "Times" representative last evening that he hoped to be able to make a, pronouncement shortly. A Press Association telegram from Gisborne states that Mr A. M. Lewis, a well-known business man of Gisborne and Te Karaka, was selected at a meeting of the Liberal Association at Te Karaka to stand as a Liberal candidate for the Bay of Plenty seat.
