THE NEW. LEGISLATION. CORRESPONDENCE WITH . MINISTER. Matters of ' considerable interest to motorists “"ore discussed at a recent mooting of the Sooth Island Motor Union. It was decided to keep closely in touch with all legislation affecting motorists, and a member of the union now in Wellington states, that the local association will be placed in possession of all the 'essential facts. The secretary was asleep to forward to the Minister for Internal Affairs a copy of the resolution passed at the recent conference to the effect that a short special bill should be put through the House in the event of there being anj undue delay in the preparation of the Motor Bill, dealing with the annual licensing of motors. It was decided that the Minister for Internal Affairs should bo asked to take a census in the North and South Islands of. all motor-cars and motorbibyclcs in use for pleasure and otherwise, particulars 10 bo given as to the use, the horse-power and the style of tyres use!. ■
