Regarding patriotjc war funds .the Controller and Auditor-General states in his report to Parliament: “There is a vague sense of un rest as to the future of some of these funds,, which it is-highly desirable should bo allayed at the earliest possible date, . and the Audit Office is', awaiting information which will enable it to issue instructions for final audits and the clearingup of many of these outstanding hut practically moribund accounts.”
