ANOTHER WOMAN’S ATTEMPT FAILS. f Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received September 6, 12.10 a.m.) LONDON, September 3. Mrs Willing is attempting “to swim the Channel. Strong spring tides are running, otherwise the conditions are good. It is reported she is making good progress, ' Later. Mrs Willing failed to swim the Channel. She covered fifteen, miles in eleven' hours (Received September 6, 1.10 a.m.) LONDON, September 5. In response to her father's entreaties, Mrs Willing left tho water after swimming thirty miles in 638 minutes. She was six miles from France.
